Ginger tonic

Ginger Tonic

This is the perfect tonic to aid digestion, reduce inflammation and boost your immune system. It takes minutes to make. Whether you have a summer cold and want a refreshing healing drink or snuggled up under a blanket and need a warm mug of comfort or need a shot of goodness to wake you up in the morning. This is the tonic you need!


Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Thumbnail of fresh ginger (no need to peel)

  • 1/2 lemon - juice only

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 3-4 black peppercorns

  • 50 ml water or coconut water


Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a sieve and either serve in a shot glass, dilute with hot water and a slice of ginger or dilute it with some sparkling water and add ice.
